Professor Zach Lieberman, head of the Media Lab's Future Sketches research group, has been selected as a 2025 winner of MIT's Teaching with Digital Technology Award

The Teaching with Digital Technology Awards are student-nominated awards for instructors who have effectively used digital technology to improve teaching and learning at MIT. The goal is to recognize instructors for their innovations and to give the MIT community the opportunity to learn from their practices. The awards are co-sponsored by MIT Open Learning and the Office of the Vice Chancellor.

This year, students submitted 88 nominations. Seven winners were selected by a panel of MIT student volunteers. The winners will be honored at a celebratory luncheon in May 2025.

MIT Open Learning published a Medium post highlighting eight MIT faculty and instructors who received the 2025 Teaching with Digital Technology Awards for their innovative use of tools like generative AI, simulations, and interactive demos. Nominated and judged by students, the awards celebrate teaching that transforms and enhances the learning experience at MIT.
