Additive Lathe

The Additive Lathe is a 3D printer that prints onto rotating objects. It has two degrees of freedom: the first degree is the x-axis that moves with a rack and pinion mechanism. The second degree is the rotation of the object. Unlike regular lathes, in the Additive Lathe the object can spin in both directions and can spin in steps due to the stepper motor that spins the spindle. The additive lathe can produce objects that are difficult to make with regular 3D printer like threads and springs.
