GLOBAL COMMUNITY BIO FELLOWS PROGRAM
Participants for the Bio Summit hail from every corner of the world and are global leaders in citizen science, DIY Biology, open-source, entrepreneurship, biosecurity, bio art, design, social science, and entertainment. The remarkable diversity of this community is one of its great strengths.
At Bio Summit 1.0 and 2.0, we explored the importance of leadership in community organizing and movement-building. Bio Summit 3.0 we launched a formal leadership training program with an inaugural chorot of 36 fellows. Every year, select members of our community are deepening leadership skills in a nurturing environment with a global peer group mentored by Dr. Marshall Ganz (Harvard Kennedy School) and community organizer, Abel Cano. This program serves as a valuable opportunity to learn about the power of storytelling, public narrative, community organizing, and leadership development.
The Global Community Bio Fellows Program is a unique initiative designed to provide leadership development training and peer support for emerging leaders from across our global community.
Fellows selected for this program represent exceptionally dedicated and emerging leaders from across 30 countries in Africa, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Central, South and North Americas. We are proud to support them.
In 2020, we will be welcoming our second cohort of fellows.
