We created a computational construction kit for the blind and visually impaired by modifying the user interface of our Cricket programmable bricks and adding capabilities such as speech recognition and speech synthesis. We provided this "Bricket" system to a small population of visually-impaired children to use in their homes, and studied how and what the children create with this new technology.
