Click-Fraud Detection

Click fraud is an important problem plaguing online advertisers. A click fraud is an attempt by an agency (such as a competitor) to increase the amount charged to an advertiser. Motivations for click fraud range from the urge to deplete a competitor's budget (to ensure that the competitor's advertisement is not aired to consumers) to an attempt to receive cheaper advertising. We are looking at statistical methods of measuring click fraud in order to control this problem.
