Providing computers and Internet access to rural communities can help overcome barriers of geographic isolation, lack of services, and poor infrastructure. However, the technologies themselves can create an entirely new set of barriers around language, literacy, and usability. Community Knowledge Sharing aims to provide a single multi-literate environment for communities to share experiences and learn from each other.
