Low-resolution printing has many applications in the countries of the developing world. Just as the onset of digital desktop printers gave rise to a revolution in desktop publishing, we are concieving similar "tools for tomorrow" for handicraft workers in parts of rural India. Since the devices need to be locally fabricated and affordable, we are exploiting open-source hardware and software tool kits for the same.
