Project

Open Sources

Open Sources visualizes the roles and relationships among developers in free software communities. It is designed to help members of an open-source community quickly and easily answer questions such as: Is "A" prolific and reliable, frequently contributing code that remains part of the project? Is "B" a pruner, someone who comes in and mostly deletes other users' code? Do some of those deleted coders then retaliate by undoing "B"'s work? Does "C" discuss plans before committing code? Is "D"'s work frequently discussed in messages? Do you always talk about your code before you commit it, or do particular individuals always discuss your code months later?
