Video Displays on Every Surface

Can display nanostructures be applied to all surfaces in a room? We explore growing them (like mold), and their interactions with light and the presence of electric fields. Beamed standing waves can selectively excite and not-excite nano-surface areas to create the display. These nano-surfaces could also function as holographic displays, or displays that have complex lenses embedded into them that allow light to be "thrown" to other areas of the room, onto bodies, or yes, thin air.
