“We have so much amazing technology at MIT and at the Media Lab, but I really believe that it matters much more how you frame the narrative and how you tell the story using the technology.” Eitan Wolf, a first-year master’s student in the Opera of the Future group, introduces the Music Camera — a physical device intended to help users engage with the world around them by creating sonic representations of photographs they’ve taken themselves. The goal is to encourage creation, rather than consumption, and encourage people to connect with each other, rather than staring at their screens.
