MAS Diversity Initiatives for Prospective Students

Diversity Initiatives for Prospective Students

All MAS students begin at the master's level and can then apply to the PhD program during their second year of study. Unfortunately we cannot accept applications directly to the PhD program except from current MAS students. For more information, please check out the Information for Applicants webpage

Visit the MIT Office of Graduate Education (OGE) to be connected to a Graduate Diversity Ambassador and learn more about life at the Institute and apply for a research opportunity like the MIT Summer Research Program (MSRP) that gives you hands-on experience with grad school life.

If you’re starting your application, join an MIT student-led GradCatalyst workshop to plan your academic trajectory, learn tips for the graduate school application process, and hear student advice on making the most of your experience.

If you’ve received your MIT acceptance letter, congratulations! Review these resources for incoming students.

Prospective Students' Events & Resources

Thinking about joining the MAS program? Check out some of our events for youth and undergrads. These events, workshops, info sessions and resources are designed  to help prospective students connect with current students and faculty and learn about the MAS program.
