THE FUTURE OF HAPPINESS: How Mindful Innovation Can Fuel Well-being

Technology—at least in theory—is improving our productivity, efficiency, and communication. Yet the ubiquity of smartphones and Internet access also coincides with historically high levels of depression and life dissatisfaction. With an ever increasing rate of tech innovations hitting the market, researchers are turning attention to a crucial question: Will we continue to see declines in physical, emotional, and mental health due to our current ways of using technology or can we use new strategies to harness technology to improve our happiness and wellbeing? In this talk, Amy Blankson, one of the world's leading experts on happiness and technology, will explain how innovation can drive happiness and how happiness can drive innovation.
