No Permission, No Apology

Women have always played a role in STEAM fields–and their work has not always been acknowledged. Unconscious bias, microaggressions, and structural inequities have pushed women out. But increasingly, both industry and academia alike realize that when we exclude any part of the population, we significantly curb progress.

The No Permission, No Apology conference provided opportunities to develop the professional and personal skills that can help women navigate spaces not necessarily created with them in mind. It was also a chance for men to better understand how to foster inclusiveness, bridge divides, and serve as effective allies.
