SwissnexDay 2019: Earth’s Guardian: Using Space Tech for a Sustainable Future

Dr. Minoo Rathnasabapathy will present a keynote at the swissnex Network’s annual signature event swissnexDay’19. The presentation will explore how space technologies and services can contribute to a sustainable future on earth, focusing on how space technologies like satellite earth observation, satellite communication, and microgravity research can benefit life on earth, create market opportunities and foster economic development. 

swissnex is an initiative of the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI). The swissnex Network is composed by its five swissnexes in Boston, Brazil (Rio), China (Shanghai), India (Bangalore), and San Francisco, as well as numerous science and technology counselors embedded in Swiss representations abroad. Each December the swissnex Network comes together for its annual gathering and the swissnexDay, which this year also coincides with the closing event of EPFL’s celebration of its 50th anniversary, making the occasion even more special.
