UrbInt 2017

The theme of this workshop is framed in what is called Urban Intelligence, where new ways of understanding the complex dynamics of cities are looked for and with it being better positioned to propose solutions according to the great challenges they face. For this, emerging technologies such as IoT and machine learning are used, as well as advances in data analysis, ubiquitous and sensing technologies, coupled with interventions and experiments in urban environments. It is therefore about providing new perspectives to urban planning and design, based on hard data. This contributes to the design of public policies guided by factual information and empirical evidence.

Program

This first workshop seeks, on the one hand, to establish the basic concepts and a shared language to discuss and analyze urban phenomena. On the other hand, it seeks to publicize some work in progress that can motivate collaborations either in these works or in others that may arise from them.
