Andres is a visiting researcher from Mexico City at the City Science group with a background in Robotics, AI and Innovation. His main research goal is to understand ways in which we can humanize and democratize technology.

His work aims to enable society to enjoy the most humane aspects of life through inventions that range from devices that enhance limb sensitivity to neural network implementations that use environmental sensor inputs to classify human affective states.

As an undergraduate student, he co-founded an innovation firm and was a member of MIT’s Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program in Monterrey, Mexico where he worked with city stakeholders on the development of the region’s innovation and entrepreneurship capabilities.

His current work at City Science is focused on the development of multi-sensor systems and unsupervised algorithms capable of digitally interpreting human behavior, user well being and performance in the context of different mobility means.
