City Science
  • Postdoctoral Fellow

Can Wang is a postdoctoral fellow in City Science group of MIT Media Lab. He has a background in urban science and planning with computer science.

Can is mainly interested in the area of urban simulation and big data analytics. His current research includes: 1) WIFI and camera data mining to understand the relationship between pedestrian dynamics and built environment; 2) devolving a generic mobility module for CityScpoe, a city model with embedded TUI (tangible user interface) and ABM (agent based models) for urban visualization, simulation, assessment, and decision-making.
