- Opera of the Future
David Su is a musician, game developer, and researcher. Currently he is a research assistant in the Opera of the Future group at the MIT Media Lab. David recently released Yi and the Thousand Moons, a short video game musical. Previously he worked on artificial intelligence for film scoring at Amper Music and did audio software engineering for drum sensor technology at Sunhouse. As a songwriter and drummer David also makes music with singer-songwriter Dominique Star and folk-pop group Morningsiders. His work has been featured in Rolling Stone, A.V. Club, Stereogum, Noisey by VICE, and the International Computer Music Conference; he has performed at venues such as Lincoln Center and events such as SXSW. David is especially interested in creating new interactive musical experiences.
