Dong-Gyu Lee is a research affiliate at the MIT Media Lab, where he focuses on the design and fabrication of next-generation piezoelectric systems. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Korea University.
During his Ph.D., he focused on the development of crystallographically textured piezoelectric ceramics, including Pb-based and KNN-based compositions. His research covers the full spectrum from materials synthesis to device-level engineering such as piezoelectric energy harvesters, acoustic energy transfer, and piezocatalytic systems.
At the MIT Media Lab, he aims to expand his work toward conformable and bio-integrated piezoelectric devices for biomedical applications.
