Hugo works creating sound installations, sound art, and interactive art. He is currently a tenure professor at the UAM University in Mexico City, where he teaches electronic art. After the Media Lab, Hugo did a Masters in Music Technology at Pompeu Fabra University in Spain, later a PhD in Digital Art and Experimental Media at University of Washington. Then, he moved to Mexico where he worked as technology director of the Center for Digital Culture before becoming professor.
