Marcel Bartumeu Ramentol is a researcher and student entrepreneur working with City Science at the MIT Media Lab. His work focuses on data-driven scenario planning and digital-twin methods for small mountain nations, combining public and governmental datasets with agent-based modeling to produce decision-relevant insights across social, economic, and environmental indicators.
Bartumeu’s current research contributes to the Andorra Clone initiative, developed with Andorra Recerca i Innovació and public-sector partners, aiming to translate complex data into interpretable signals that help compare possible futures, surface trade-offs, and support long-term planning discussions. His broader interests sit at the intersection of urban systems, interactive visualisation, and design-led tools for policy and planning, informed by a background in engineering, industrial design, and building technology ventures.
