Dr. Shada Alsalamah is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems Security at the College of Computer and Information Science, King Saud University (KSU). She is currently a Visiting Scholar at the MIT Media Lab in Prof. Alex “Sandy” Pentland's Human Dynamics group. With Sandy, she works on a number of projects that aim to apply Blockchain in the health sector. In 2015, she received a PhD degree in Healthcare Information Systems' Security and Privacy, and an MSc degree in 2010 in Strategic Information Systems with Information Assurance from the School of Computer Science & Informatics at Cardiff University, Cardiff, UK. Dr. Alsalamah is a member of the editorial review board of a number of international journals, including: The Journal of mHealth, International Journal of Reliable and Quality E-Healthcare, International Journal of Information Security and Privacy, Applied Clinical Informatics, International Saudi Health Informatics Conference, and the Journal of King Saud University - Computer and Information Sciences. Finally, Dr. Alsalamah is experienced in conducting interdisciplinary research to address complex security and privacy issues in the healthcare, government, and industry sectors.
