Canan Dagdeviren has been invited to give a talk at this year's Virtual MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit. Her talk, titled 'Conformable Facial Code Extrapolation Sensor (cFaCES) for Non-Verbal Communication,' will focus on her recently published work on an integrated system for decoding facial strains,  cFaCES. In addition to her talk, she has also been invited to serve as a Session Chair for the event.

The 2021 MRS Spring Meeting & Exhibit is the key forum to present research to an interdisciplinary and international audience. It provides a window on the future of materials science, and offers an opportunity for researchers—from students and postdoctoral fellows, to Nobel and Kavli Prize Laureates—to exchange technical information and network with colleagues.

The Materials Research Society (MRS) was established in 1973 by a visionary group of scientists who shared the belief that their professional interests were broader in scope than existing single-discipline societies and that a new interdisciplinary organization was needed. Today MRS is a growing, vibrant member -driven organization of over 14,000 materials researchers from academia, industry, and government, and a recognized leader in the advancement of interdisciplinary materials research. Headquartered in Warrendale, Pennsylvania (USA), MRS membership now spans over 80 countries. For more information the MRS, please visit their website at www.mrs.org.
