Honghao Deng(Zh:邓鸿浩) is an award-winning computational designer and  Innovator focusing on building context-aware built-environment with the integration of IoT, AR, and AI. He holds a Master of Design Technology degree with Distinction at Harvard. He is the CEO of Butlr. He is also a researcher at City Science Group, MIT Media Lab and Responsive Environments and Artifacts Lab at Harvard, developing spatial interface in living and working spaces that is responsive to users' behavior patterns and needs.

Honghao has won multiple international design awards in interaction, product, and architecture, including Architizer A+ Award in Smart Building Technology, Red Dot Best of Best, Core77 Award, Gold and Platinum A' Design Award, iF Design Award, Fast Compay World Changing Ideas, 1st Place Future Cities Contest, 1st place CHI Play Game Design Award, Ubicomp/ISWC Design Award. His research is published on SIGGRAPH, CHI, TEI, DIS and ISWC. His work has been covered by TechCrunch, World Enconomic Forum, Domus, CCTV, ArchDaily, Arab News, the National.
