Mireia Yurrita Semperena is a visiting student in the City Science group. She graduated in Industrial Technology Engineering at Tecnun – Universidad de Navarra and is now working on her Industrial Engineering Master's Thesis at the Media Lab.

Mireia’s project is part of the City Scope, a platform that aims to facilitate a more collaborative and evidence-based scenario for urban decision making. Her work focuses on the development of a dynamic incentive system to promote pro-social development in cities. As part of her research, Mireia is applying Agent-Based Modelling (ABM) and Machine Learning techniques to predict housing and mobility mode behavioral patterns  and is exploring policies that could lead to more vibrant and diverse communities.
