Five Media Lab students receive MIT Presidential Fellowship awards

Ila Kumar, a PhD student in the Affective Computing group; Kimaya Lecamwasam, a PhD student in the Opera of the Future group; Cecilé Sadler, a PhD student in the Lifelong Kindergarten group; Aastha Shah, a PhD student in the Conformable Decoders group; and Raechel Walker, a PhD student in the Personal Robots group, have received MIT Presidential Fellowship awards

This program is administered by the MIT Office of Graduate Education in coordination with the Office of the Provost. MIT admitted the first class of Presidential Fellows in September 1999, and currently supports 110-125 new graduate students as Presidential Fellows each year.
