Three students from the MIT Media Lab have been recognized at the 2026 Student Awards Convocation:

Serena Xin Wei Sara from the Tangible Media group received an Outstanding UROP Student Award, which recognizes students for exceptional contributions as undergraduate researchers.

Jessica Stringham from the Future Sketches group received the Harold and Arlene Schnitzer Prize in the Visual Arts, which is presented to current MIT students for excellence in a body of work in the visual arts.

Perry Naseck from the Responsive Environments group received the Laya and Jerome B. Wiesner Student Art Award, presented annually to students or MIT groups for outstanding arts-related contributions to the MIT community. Established by the Council for the Arts at MIT in 1979, these awards honor past MIT President Jerome B. Wiesner and Laya Wiesner for their commitment to the arts at MIT.
