Maria Zuber, MIT VP for Research, and Media Lab director Joi Ito will welcome the audience and the panelists.

Steven Rothstein, executive director for the JFK Library, will address the audience and play a special clip of President Kennedy's Rice University speech.

Dava Newman, former deputy administrator of NASA and MIT Apollo Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, will moderate the discussion. In the glow of the recent 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, we'll explore transformative "moonshot" plans and how we will bring humans to the next planetary body that beckons: Mars.
