Kent Larson was invited to present at the International Guadalajara Book Fair, also called Feria Internacional del Libro Guadalajara or FIL Guadalajara, on the topic of AI. The session, titled Artificial intelligence: between utopias, dystopias and realities, addressed the advantages and drawbacks of current AI technologies as well as the ability of AI to assist in urban planning and smart city design. The panel discussion also included Andrea Jelinek, a lawyer and lead of the data protection authority in Australia, and moderator Marco Fernández.

Kent also participated in the 6th OECD - UdeG Forum on Digital Transformation for Wellbeing, Reflections and Good Practices for a People-Centered Technology.

The events were coordinated by the Book Fair staff in conjunction with colleagues from the University of Guadalajara. In both conversations Kent touched on the work and research of the City Science Lab @ Guadalajara and the City Science Network.
