Carolina is a journalist, researcher, and activist in connected and creative learning.

In her home country, she is the educational  organizer of the Brazilian Creative Learning Network. As an academic, Carolina is currently a research associate in Lifelong Kindergarten and leads the research line "Creative Learning in Research and Practice".  She manages projects such as Scratch Mondays,  Creative Learning Mondays, Professional Development  in Creative Learning, and Designing  Creative Learning Educational Resources and Activities. Carolina has a doctoral degree focused on learning in online communities of Scratch, a research started during her work visit at the Connected Learning Lab, University of California, in 2015.

Her work in Lifelong Kindergarten aims to develop creative teaching strategies to foster the adoption of creative learning in public schools and other educational environments.
