12:30pm — 2:00pm ET

2:30 to 4pm Belem Time

The City Science Network is an international community advancing research and innovation to create more livable, equitable, and resilient cities. We believe global challenges—like climate change and public health—are best solved locally, one community at a time.

This session features Network leaders sharing new insights on:

  • Adaptive urban design, emerging technologies, and dynamic governance systems.
  • Integrating ancestral knowledge with innovation to strengthen health, education, and community resilience.
  • Inclusive, scalable models that enable communities to grow in harmony with nature.
  • Innovation in informal communities to foster equity and sustainability.

The event brings together global urban decision-makers to explore how cities can lead climate action and regenerative transformation.

Panelists: Gesa Ziemer (City Science Lab Hamburg / UNITAC), Sergio Roldan (City Science Lab Guadalajara), Carles Miquel (Director of the Office of Energy and Climate Change of the Government of Andorra), and Kent Larson, Luis Alonso, and Gabriela Bila (MIT City Science).
